This is a vintage Gonder Swan Pottery Planter marked E44, in yellow. Gonder Ceramic Arts, Inc. was opened in Zanesville, Ohio in 1941. The company made high-grade pottery with unusual glazes such as gold crackle, and Chinese crackle glaze. It measures approximately 5 1/2" High, 5 1/2" Long and is approximately 4" wide. This is a heavy piece, weighing slightly over one pound. This piece is in excellent condition, with only slight shelf wear on the bottom. The color is yellow with a "spackle" type of coloration reflecting darker shakes of yellow or gold and hints of blue. The color scheme can be seen clearly in the pictures.
