This is a set of vintage green and light purple (mauve) dog salt and pepper shakers, with sporatic gold coloring, 2 1/2 inches tall. They are glazed pottery. I believe these shakers might be Rosemeade, because they resemble Rosemeade styles, but this can't be verified due to no markings. The dog shakers appear to be old and have cork stoppers that are very fragile. They can't be removed without destroying the stoppers. The stopper on the green dog has a knick in the cork, and an imperfection on the bottom where there is no glaze. The purple shaker has a couple of "indentations" that are not damage. They are imperfections under the glaze; one of these is circled in the pictures. Notice the holes in the purple dog are in a different position that the green dog. So, I don't know if this is a mis-matched set of one green and one purple from different sets, or if the holes represent one salt and one pepper. These are old, rare, and hard to find information about their origin. They are in good vintage condition and no chips or cracks that I could see. This is a great set for collectors of salt and pepper shakers and dog lovers also.
